Depends on the dude. Some are natural-born predators, others behave according to that legendary patriarchal training. The latter group may feel a few, infrequent pangs of guilt over their behavior, but would never consider any type of positive change, as that would extract them from their throne of power. It is comforting for men to know that, even if they are at the lowest point of the male totem pole, there is still one group of people they can feel superior to; the female sex.

What does one do about it?

That is one question that is sorely in need of an answer.

I care about the safety of the female sex…because somebody has to. The male sex already has a massive support system set up for them. Their buttcracks are worshiped every single day. Plus, they have proved, repeatedly, that they do not give a damn about women…and so I do not give a damn about them. Fair is fair. When I began to take them to task for these disgusting statements, I was called a “stupid cunt” and was advised to commit suicide. Imagine what would have happened if I’d pulled a Jesse, and pretended to have a convulsion or whatnot. Nope. Sorry. That doesn’t work for women. Only real human suffering matters…and in case you failed to get the memo, real human = person with penis.
